Climate Week NYC 2025 has been the biggest yet, with more than 1,000 events across the city. The message was clear: the world doesn’t need more promises, it needs proof.
I have been honored to speak and moderate across conversations on business, policy, health, culture, and community. A few standouts:
• Rebalance / Recharge CSO Summit: Climate strategy only works when it is embedded across operations, supply chains, and investment decisions. Thank you to Bee Hui Yeh for your vision pulling this together Patch
• Opening Ceremony with Gloria Walton Mark Ruffalo and Dr Andrew Forrest Fortescue: The call was for accountability over new targets. The focus is on closing the gap between promises and proof. Thank you to Adam Lake for your leadership and the Climate Group for building such a consequential platform
• DVF / Daughters for Earth / Vital Voices Global Partnership : Women leaders emphasized climate justice and how culture can expand the movement. Thank you Alyse Nelson Zainab Salbi for creating space for this conversation
• COP30 / High Level Champions: The global stocktake must become funded roadmaps, not just reports. Dan Ioschpe Nigar Arpadarai
• Carbon Newbie Summit: Literacy is leverage. Climate progress depends on raising the floor of understanding. Thank you Michelle Li for this great convening
• NEST Climate Campus with L'Oréal : Circularity and regenerative sourcing are becoming essential to brand credibility and opportunity. Nobles Crawford Alexander Habib
• National Academy of Medicine: Climate and health are inseparable. Resilience depends on both. Seema Wadhwa Ali Zaidi Chris Hanley
• UN Office of Partnerships Goals Lounge: Many opportunities exist to tap into cultural influence through live events, musicians, athletes. Reverb
• TIME100 Climate Leadership Forum: Our flagship event spotlighted solutions and reminded us that accountability grows stronger when business, policy, and culture align. Was wonderful to share the stage with Pam Cheng Wally Adeyemo Greg Jackson
My reflection:
At its core, climate progress is about narrative. How we frame the story of risk, resilience, and opportunity determines who leans in, who invests, and who acts. Shifting the narrative from incremental change to systemic transformation is the lever that moves ambition into reality.
Looking ahead to #COP30, the task is clear. Align resources, political will, and storytelling in service of impact.
