The future of consulting is here.

About us

We help women and other traditionally underrepresented founders and executives go from idea to impact! We were founded by two women, both senior executives with over 40 combined years of finance and operations expertise. We’ve taken our extensive knowledge and passion for ops, finance, and optimization and created Amica, a consulting group for early- and growth-stage businesses. Often, founders and executives find themselves deep in the operational trenches, their focus diverted from strategic growth plans. Pursuing seasoned, professional service providers can be a budgetary sinkhole, draining their crucial funds. But with Amica, you'll get top-notch services without breaking the bank. We pride ourselves on fair, affordable, transparent pricing. Here are just some of the services we offer: * Virtual/Fractional COO and Operations Advising * Virtual/Fractional CFO and Finance Advising * Executive Offsite Support * Business Brainstorming Sessions * Executive Advisory Services * VC and PE support Our team understands you. Not only do we have extensive experience thriving in early-stage and growth-stage companies, but we’ve also been in your shoes, having to work with an outside consultant. We know that, along with results, you want straight talk, clear answers, and transparency, and we’re here to offer that. We promise to: * Boldly pursue growth and innovation * Embrace curiosity and the power of questions * Communicate with transparency and candor * Be creative, collaborative, and playful * Amplify diverse voices and ideas * Cultivate safety and inclusivity, and * Be unwavering in integrity, execution, and excellence Say goodbye to “consultant regret!” Want to see how we can make your life easier? • Running a business is never just about business. When we started Amica, it wasn’t because we had a grand master plan or investors waiting in the wings. It was because we were two women done watching brilliant founders try to scale with no support, no strategy, and no space to be human. We didn’t want to be another consultancy selling fluff. We wanted to build a team that actually helps people get out of the weeds and grow businesses that don’t drain them. A space where founders—especially those who don’t fit the traditional mold—feel safe, seen, and supported. That’s still our why. If you’re in the messy middle right now, wondering if it’s supposed to be this hard, we understand you. You don’t have to build this thing by yourself. Let’s talk about what support really looks like. www.weareamica.com

  • Growth is exciting… until it exposes every hole in your operations. Suddenly: – Client onboarding is clunky – You're repeating the same tasks over and over – You can’t delegate because it’s all “in your head” – Your systems are duct-taped together and slowing you down This is the point where a lot of founders hit a wall. Not because they aren’t capable—but because their business was never designed to handle this level of growth. Operational support is efficiency AND peace of mind. It’s about knowing your business can sustain the success you’re working so hard for. #businessgrowth #businessmanagement

  • Some days, the hardest part of running a business isn’t the work—it’s deciding what to focus on first. Do you tackle the 47 open tabs? Try to finally post on Instagram? Rethink your pricing structure that’s been bothering you? Or answer that “quick” client email (that somehow turns into 2 hours)? That constant swirl of decision fatigue is just draining and it’s the reason many smart, capable business owners start losing momentum. At Amica, we’ve sat across from women who are in it—brilliant at what they do, but stuck in the weeds. They don’t need more ideas… they need clarity, support, and someone to help map the way forward. If this sounds familiar, it's not just you. We’ve been there too. What’s one thing in your business you wish someone could help you untangle right now? #business #timemanagement #businessmanagement

  • Getting more clients is great. That’s the goal, right? It’s also a quick (and hard) way to learn whether your business was prepared for the sudden influx of everything. So it’s not really about IF you get more clients—it’s about whether your business can handle it WHEN you do. You just need the right systems, the right people, and a little breathing room. If you need help with this, schedule a call with us at https://lnkd.in/et43NX8F

  • If you have 47 tabs open —mentally and literally — this message is for you. Juggling client work, team questions, invoices, operations, and trying to remember what you meant when you wrote “urgent” in your notes app three days ago is a lot. But the longer you try to keep it all in your head, the harder it is to grow without burning out. That’s where delegation, systems, and ruthless prioritization come in. Not because they’re trendy, but because they’re necessary. So if your brain feels like you’re on 2% battery, it’s time to think about getting the help you and your business needs. And that’s why we’re here. weareamica.com

  • Nobody prepares you for the moment when growth ACTUALLY happens. One minute, we’re manifesting more business. The next, Slack is on fire, our inboxes are a disaster, and our brains are trying to process why it suddenly feels like we’re running three companies instead of one. We wanted this. We planned for this. So why does it feel like pure chaos? This is what we’re telling ourselves: This isn’t failure—it’s proof that things are working. Now, it’s just a matter of figuring out what to stop doing so we don’t burn out in the process. Because if we keep operating at this pace, we won’t have a business—we’ll have a very demanding full-time job with no clock-out time. So yeah, we’re in our “rethinking everything” era. Anyone else?

  • They say scaling a business is about “working smarter, not harder.” And yet, here we are—working harder than ever. The messy middle of growth is real. It’s that phase where you have more clients, more revenue, more everything… except time. Your systems aren’t built for this level of demand, and suddenly, the business that once felt exciting now feels like a game of whack-a-mole. But here’s what we’ve learned: This is normal. Scaling isn’t a straight line. It’s messy, overwhelming, and at times, wildly uncomfortable. But on the other side? A business that doesn’t just grow—but thrives. So if you’re in the thick of it right now, know this: It’s not a sign that you’re failing. It’s proof that you’re getting somewhere.

  • Growth sounds great—until you realize it’s coming at the cost of your sanity. More clients and more revenue sounds great but not when you realize how stressed it’s all making you. When we think about scaling our businesses, we should be thinking about working smarter not harder. So, if we think we’re ready to grow, let’s stop and ask ourselves: ✔ Can my business handle more clients without me personally working more hours? ✔ Are my operations solid, or am I constantly putting out fires? ✔ Do I have (or need) a team that can take work off my plate? A growing business should create more freedom, not less. If your growth plan relies on you working harder… it’s time to rethink the plan.

  • Ever feel like your to-do list has its own to-do list? One small task turns into five. A “quick” email somehow eats an hour. And despite working non-stop, there’s always more to do. At some point, we had to ask ourselves: Are we running a business, or is the business running us? Because if everything depends on us—every decision, every fire to put out, every little detail—then we don’t actually own a business. We own a really demanding job. So here’s what changed: ✔ We prioritized tasks that actually move the needle (not just keep us busy). ✔ We delegated the things that drained our time and energy. ✔ We automated the repetitive tasks that didn’t need our constant attention. What’s one thing you know you need to take off your plate?

  • Nobody tells you this when you start a business, but here it is: Making more money can actually cause financial stress if your systems aren’t built for it. Suddenly, you have: 💰 Higher expenses (because you think more revenue means more spending power). 📈 Bigger tax obligations (but you didn’t plan for them). ⏳ Less time to track profitability (because you’re too busy handling growth). And before you know it, growth feels like a burden instead of a win. It doesn’t have to be this way. The businesses that last are good at selling AND they’re good at MANAGING the money they make. That’s where smart financial strategy comes in. Have you ever had a time where more revenue actually made things harder?
