  • What’s the biggest aha moment after five years at WSU Tech? For Jennifer Asbridge, it was realizing how powerful external funding could be in fueling growth for both the Foundation and the college. From Department of Education to Department of Commerce and Energy, Jennifer reflects on how expanding grants have supported programs, students, and the mission of WSU Tech and why seeing students walk across the stage makes it all worthwhile. 🎧 Catch her full conversation with Dr. Sheree Utash on Tech Talk with WSU Tech, available Tuesday on YouTube and Spotify. #TechTalkWithWSUTech #WSUTech #Grants #StudentSuccess #Philanthropy #WorkforceDevelopment

  • According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for heavy vehicle and mobile equipment service technicians is expected to grow 6 percent from 2024 to 2034. This is faster than the average for all occupations, with about 21,700 openings projected each year. Last week, we officially unveiled the Kenworth Heavy Truck Lab, part of the $3 million state-of-the-art Automotive Center renovation that has transformed over 30,000 square feet into modern classrooms and labs. This expansion opens doors for more students to pursue careers in Mobile Equipment and step into high-demand industries like construction, agriculture, transportation, and more. A huge thank you to WKI Kenworth for donating trucks, engines, and components, and for establishing an endowed scholarship that will support Mobile Equipment students starting in 2026. 💛 This partnership is about more than a lab, it’s about investing in students, education, and the workforce of tomorrow.
