The EDGE Policy Board’s mission is to make investments in Oklahoma’s knowledge infrastructure to bolster the State’s long-term economic growth.  Technology-based research and development, commercialization and entrepreneurial successes historically attract capital, create more high-paying jobs, expand and diversify the State’s economy, and provide greater prosperity for generations of future Oklahomans.

In addition to funding applied research and technology development that create jobs in Oklahoma, the EDGE program has the broader responsibility to facilitate an environment that fosters innovation in our state.  In this context and as an effort to seed potential EDGE projects, the Policy Board has initiated the EDGE Innovative Ideas Program.  The Board seeks proposals for early stage very innovative ideas, which with a small amount of support might produce new technologies that could be eventually commercialized.
