The person in this position will be responsible for assisting in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities for CCARC and subsidiary companies. This person will also assist in reconciliation of checking accounts for residential programs. This position will function in accordance with the policies established by the CCARC, Inc. Board of Directors.
Essential Functions
Accurately enter and update financial data for accounts payable and accounts receivable in Blackbaud.
Verify and mail payment checks to vendors in a timely and accurate manner.
Assist in reconciliation of residential individuals’ bank accounts and processing payments.
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial physical records and digital documentation.
Aid in continual improvement, streamlining processes, and implementing automation.
Clear communication and follow up with other departments.
Maintain a high level of accuracy and flexibility.
Maintain confidentiality regarding participants, staff and all other CCARC members.
To clear with and keep the Finance Specialist informed of any changes or deviations from current established procedures or need for modifications concerning any of the above areas of operation and activity.
To assume any other responsibilities assigned by the Finance Department.
Be cooperative and versatile; work as a team member.
Education And/or Work Experience Requirements
Associate's degree in accounting preferred but not required.
2 years of bookkeeping experience.
Experience with automated accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Blackbaud).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Ability to follow instructions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Neat and accurate record keeping.
Must have reliable transportation
Must complete the Agency’s Employee Training
Physical Requirements
Occasional lifting up to ten lbs.
Vision must be good or corrected to normal to perform normal job duties.
Hearing must be good to have the ability to understand information to perform job duties.
Ability to read and write in English to process paperwork and follow up on any actions necessary.
Sitting for extended periods of time and completing repetitive tasks like answering phones and typing.
