CHeKT, a subsidiary of Alarm.com, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our growing, fast-paced organization. The Accounting Manager role will support CHeKT in its daily operations while working closely with the Alarm.com corporate accounting and finance organization to ensure proper controls and establish best practices. Responsibilities include handling all aspects of day-to-day accounting such as journal entries, accruals, accounts payable and receivable, purchase orders, commission calculations, bank and credit card management, and creating reports and analyses. The role requires completing timely and accurate monthly and quarterly financial close and reporting packages in accordance with GAAP and Alarm.com’s financial close timelines. The manager will work closely with Alarm.com’s VP & Corporate Controller, FP&A teams, and Corporate Tax Director to ensure compliance and proper controls. Additional duties include establishing standard operating procedures, managing billing and reporting improvements, inventory controls, contract reviews, financial trend reporting, and compliance with SOX and FCPR. The position may expand to oversee accounting for other venture business portfolio companies. Required experience includes a minimum of 7 years in accounting and finance, CPA preferred, proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, strong knowledge of GAAP, excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. The job is located at Alarm.com’s headquarters in Tysons Corner, VA, with occasional travel to CHeKT’s headquarters in Shreveport, LA. Sponsorship for employment authorization is not available.
