Focus Partners Wealth seeks a motivated and qualified individual for the position of Bookkeeper. The Bookkeeper will join one of the firm’s Business Management teams, a team of 12. You will be working with a wide range of clients – from individuals & families to small businesses and non-profits. The primary responsibility of this role is client accounting and transactions processing.

This role is based in Bethesda, MD

Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day multiple client activities including processing accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Manage multiple monthly, quarterly and annual processes
  • Responsible for designated general ledger activity, journal entries
  • Support and work with team as needed

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • 3+ years experience in accounting platforms, QuickBooks preferred
  • 3+ years experience with Excel
  • Solid organizational skills with great attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Self-directed, ability to handle new tasks with little direction
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively work in a client focused team environment, building a spirit of cooperation, and sharing knowledge and skills with others in the group
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $60,000 - $65,000.  Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set.  The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.  Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
