Base pay range
Viridian Staffing's Client is seeking a driven, relationship-oriented Business Development Manager to lead cannabis biomass procurement efforts within New York State. This position follows a hybrid work arrangement and requires the ability to travel throughout New York State, including regular presence in Pearl River, NY. All procurement activities are conducted in compliance with New York law (no interstate transport or sourcing).

Responsibilities
- Identify and establish relationships with licensed New York cannabis cultivators.
- Negotiate and secure biomass supply agreements that support production goals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for cultivators, ensuring clear communication and strong ongoing relationships.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align procurement strategy with operational needs.
- Stay informed of market dynamics, pricing trends, and competitive activity.
- Deliver results in line with key performance metrics tied to sourcing and relationship development.
Requirements
- Experience in cannabis business development, procurement, or sourcing—preferably with exposure to biomass purchasing.
- Strong knowledge of the New York cannabis market; experience in other regulated state markets is a plus. All procurement activities must comply with New York law (no interstate transport or sourcing).
- Demonstrated success building and maintaining industry relationships.
- Self-starter comfortable working in a hybrid environment with minimal oversight.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow alongside a fast-moving organization.
Compensation
Base salary: $70,000–$130,000; role is commission-eligible (details provided during interviews).
