Position Summary
The Clinical Manager provides essential leadership and supervision to clinical staff within our mental health programs. This role coordinates clinical services, ensures value-based care, and monitors team performance to meet the highest standards of state, federal, and grantor regulations. The Clinical Manager will be a key player in maintaining exceptional clinical quality and fostering a supportive, effective environment for both staff and clients.
Duties And Responsibilities
Provide oversight and monitor the daily clinical operations of assigned programs.
Evaluate client progress and needs, planning appropriate interventions.
Possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Regularly evaluate individual and overall team performance; use data to make improvements, including caseload adjustments and work assignments to maximize quality of care and staff productivity.
Assure staff and program goals comply with regulations and guidelines issued by the District of Columbia Department of Behavioral Health, Department of Health, Medicaid Program, and other applicable laws and professional standards.
Manage and review treatment plans and clinical interventions.
Supervise and countersign team clinical documents within the electronic medical record.
Audit client records to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Monitor treatment plans, progress notes, medication education and management, discharge summaries, and plans.
Initiate and maintain internal and external agency relationships for referral and regulatory authorities.
Maintain HIPAA compliance.
Demonstrate versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
Exhibit the ability to handle emergencies effectively.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree or PhD in one of the Behavioral Health/Social Services sciences.
Must have an unrestricted/active LICSW or LPC license in the District of Columbia.
1-3 years of experience providing clinical services to ethnically diverse adult populations.
Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds. Bilingual skills are a plus.
