Compliance Officer – Data Analytics & Remediation

About this opportunity:

Located in either Plano, TX or Washington, D.C., we are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to work in the Allegation Management Office (AMO), which is responsible for the intake and assessment of potential compliance concerns as well as for the remediation of substantiated compliance breaches within Ericsson. AMO is a critical support in ensuring the effectiveness and credibility of the Company’s ethics & compliance program, defending the Company’s commitment to integrity in its culture and ways of working, building trust with its stakeholders and ultimately driving the company’s sustainable success.

This position is on the Remediation Team within AMO, which manages remediation-related activities for substantiated Code of Business Ethics breaches and is also responsible for responding to requests regarding AMO statistics and data. The position reports to the Head of Remediation, who is located in Texas. AMO sits within Compliance Global Affairs in the Compliance Office & Investigations team in Group Function Legal Affairs & Compliance.

What you will do:

  • Support AMO’s activities by ensuring data integrity, enhancing reporting capabilities and helping drive strategic decisions through clean and reliable data.
  • Design and maintain AMO dashboards in tools such as PowerBi
  • Promote data-driven decision-making
  • Support in high risk and fast-moving matters
  • Analyze and interpret allegation management data and conduct trend forecasting
  • Use data to provide value-added analysis and reporting to stakeholders
  • Liaise with stakeholders outside AMO on data sharing requests and combined reporting and respond to ad-hoc reporting requests from AMO stakeholders
  • Carry out data remediation initiatives
  • Act as AMO representative in other Compliance Office & Investigations team digital/operational excellence initiatives
  • Help drive remediation relating to compliance-related investigations to ensure that appropriate remediation plans are developed, and that execution of all remedial actions is completed
  • Provide effective and sound advice to the business regarding consistency and proportionality of remedial actions
  • Assist in the development of strategies and procedures to mitigate compliance risk based on risk areas
  • Collaborate with compliance officers, compliance counsel, investigators, analysts, and data management teams
  • Act with integrity, objectivity and fairness

What you will bring:

  • Degree in law, business, or accounting, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial crime compliance, legal, risk management or other relevant corporate function (finance / audit)
  • Three years plus of experience in data analytics, data governance, or data quality and experience with data visualization tools, combined with a natural curiosity to identify, review and explain trends and patterns in data and an ability to analyze and break down data into clear and simple language for communication
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working directly with and reporting findings to stakeholders
  • Experience independently handling and managing multiple complex matters simultaneously
  • Fluency in English
  • Experience working within the compliance area, including anti-bribery and corruption compliance experience
  • Experience in-house at a multi-national company, law firm or consulting firm advising multi-national businesses
  • Foreign language fluency

Your Pay

The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

Washington D.C. Base Pay Range: $133.000 to $199,000

Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost that Ericsson pays toward the cost of their medical and dental premiums for themselves and eligible covered dependents.

Your Financial Security

We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson matches $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson’s full matching contributions. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.

Your Time

Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
