Controller

Our client, a fast-growing and well-established business in Cherry Hill, is seeking a Controller to take the lead in shaping the future of their finance function. This is a high-impact leadership role, reporting directly to executive leadership, where you’ll oversee all accounting operations, ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, and help drive strategic growth.

What You’ll Do

Lead Core Accounting Operations

• Oversee general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and revenue/expense tracking
• Ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow forecasting
• Manage working capital and maintain a clear view of daily liquidity

Financial Reporting & Strategy

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements with supporting schedules for both internal and investor use
• Partner with FP&A and procurement teams to deliver meaningful financial insights against budgets, forecasts, and KPIs
• Contribute to budget creation, reforecasts, and investor presentations

Systems, Process, and Continuous Improvement

• Play a key role in implementing a new NetSuite ERP system
• Identify and drive process improvements, efficiency gains, and automation opportunities
• Integrate accounting workflows for future acquisitions

Team Leadership

• Mentor, develop, and motivate a high-performing accounting team
• Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and collaboration across departments

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)
• 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including at least 3 years in a Controller role
• Experience in private equity-backed environment is required
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial close best practices
• ERP expertise (NetSuite experience highly valued) and strong Excel modeling skills
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to partner with executives and external stakeholders
