Controller

We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Controller to manage all aspects of our client's financial operations as a department of one. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an autonomous environment and enjoys owning the entire accounting cycle—from daily bookkeeping to strategic budgeting and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle full-charge bookkeeping, including AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements to provide actionable insights.
• Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Partner with leadership to support strategic planning and decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, most preferably (but not required) in a mid-size professional services business.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, etc).
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
