Position Summary & Key Responsibilities

As an Associate I, you'll support critical Federal projects that impact national security and preparedness capabilities. To be successful in this role, you'll need to excel in four key areas:

  • Project Work: Lead the development of FEMA Qualification System (FQS) training courses, including course materials, course maps, instructional plans, and assessment tools. Adhere to contractual requirements, while maintaining a healthy timeline, budget, and team environment
  • Client Relationship Management: Collaborate independently and productively with clients. Develop relationships that contribute to solutioning, foster a collaborative team culture, and keep an eye out for opportunities to add value
  • Subject-Matter Knowledge: Apply instructional systems design experience to work with emergency response experts to provide industry leading training solutions
  • Leadership and Culture: Contribute to a collaborative team culture by asking questions, taking ownership of tasks, and ensuring 360-degree feedback that is timely, candid, and supportive

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in instructional systems design
  • Experience in government consulting or professional service delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to independently produce client-ready deliverables, with strong problem solving, attention to detail, and timeline management
  • Excellent communication, writing, and complex group facilitation skills
  • Proficiency in MS 365 suite
  • Ability to pass a Federal public trust background check and/or security clearance investigation

Nice-To-Have Qualifications

  • Experience working with FEMA and/or the FEMA Qualification System
  • Proficiency with industry-leading eLearning software
  • Master's degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
