International Trade Attorney

Our client, a boutique international trade law firm located in Washington, DC, is seeking an attorney with experience handling customs compliance and import issues, including importers' obligations to US Customs and Border Protection. In this role you will be advising on matters concerning audits, classification, country of origin, substantial transformation, and prior disclosures.

Job Details

• Hours: 20-40 hours per week
• Start date: ASAP
• Duration: September 2025 to January 2026
• Pay Rate: $100-125 per hour
• Work Location: Remote for highly qualified candidates, although the client prefers an attorney who can come into the office in Washington, DC 1-2 days per week.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience to assist with several time-sensitive Customs projects
• Experience with Customs matters and counseling clients on importers’ obligations to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)
• Experience with customs audits, classification, country of origin, substantial transformation, and prior disclosures is required
• License to practice law in any US jurisdiction, active and in good standing
