Ability to operate our CMMS system and demonstrate 100% functionality in order to complete work orders as well as log corrective maintenance issues in the system.
Ability to effectively communicate with production personnel and other mechanics to identify problematic areas of concern; provide and receive feedback and/or support through collection and analysis of information.
Perform electrical repairs and troubleshooting including PLC Controls, AC & DC motor controls, solid state motor controls, advance circuits and grounding, interpret diagrams, test equipment.
Ability to read and understand schematics, drawings, and manuals to establish facts and draw a valid conclusion.
Ability to demonstrate proficient mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting skills (logic and control circuits) and repairs; ability to identify and repair problematic issues concerning all equipment and machinery, including finding innovative solutions to recurrent problems.
Demonstrate a general working knowledge of facility equipment including: wastewater equipment, compressed air, refrigeration and building safety equipment.
Must demonstrate an understanding of the company's objectives including productivity, yields, food safety, quality, customer service and cost goals; daily work activities should support achieving those goals.
Ability to demonstrate computer and math skills as part of daily activities such as fractions, decimals, percentages and the metric system; efficient with metric system, ratios, and formulas.
Ability to maintain organized documentation, inspection records etc.
Model professional workplace conduct and adherence to company policies such as the Code of Conduct, attendance, punctuality, efficient and productive work habits, and good personal hygiene.
Will serve as a resource to other departments in order to resolve mechanical issues and maintain production efficiencies.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Preferred Qualifications And Skills
Work effectively in a team setting.
Demonstrate a basic ability to cross-train other mechanics as well as production personnel.
Knowledge of Microsoft computer programs, Outlook, Word, Excel. (Ability to enter data into the system).
Ability to use Computerized Maintenance Management System to track orders, PM's and inventory.
Achieve a passing score on the Ramsay exam.
Ability to read, write and speak English

EXPERIENCE:
2-5 years' experience with industrial equipment {or 2 years of technical training}, preferably in a food processing facility. Familiar with preventive or reliability-based maintenance. Experience working with high-speed processing, packaging, weighing, filling and inspection equipment.
EDUCATION:
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience to support the Maintenance Skills Summary.
