The incumbent provides clinical and clerical support that ensures efficient and professional operations and a positive patient experience in assigned medical practice(s).
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Escorts patients from waiting room to examination rooms. Provides patients with appropriate examination apparel.
Performs all necessary intake and documents information including vital signs, current medications and allergies, current PCP and pharmacy, etc.
Transcribes and updates information in patient record as needed to be in compliance with Meaningful Use measures.
Oversees efficient and clean turn over of exam rooms and equipment.
Provide instructions to patients regarding essential information related to the medical practice.
Performs clerical work associated with patient care, prepares and organizes patient charts for assigned providers.
Monitor and order inventory of exam room supplies needed in order to run the patient rooms.
Scan patient paperwork.
Perform other related duties as assigned by Manager or other authorized executive or manager of the practice.
Required Experience, Education & Licensure:
Incumbent must possess a minimum of a high school diploma, (or GED) and two (2) years of prior experience is preferred. Medical Assistants must consistently demonstrate superior customer service, interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with physicians, staff, visitors, patients and family members. Must be highly organized with exceptional attention to details. Incumbent must be able to travel to multiple office locations if requested.
CAN/RMA preferred.
