Stamford Hospital's Department of Orthopedic Surgery is seeking a per diem physician assistant to add to their growing team! The Orthopedic Trauma team is comprised of approximately 13 full time PAs and the program provides 24/7/365 coverage.
Orthopedic Trauma Physician Assistants provide care to patients in the Emergency Department, the OR, and the Inpatient Units including total joint arthroplasty, sports medicine, hand, spine, foot & ankle, pediatric, and orthopedic trauma patients. Responsibilities include admission H&Ps, Consultations, Rounding, discharging, and first/second assisting in the OR. The Orthopedic Trauma PAs perform bedside procedures including independent reductions, splinting, casting, arthrocentesis, nailbed repair, etc.
Schedule: Minimum 1 to 2 shifts per month. Rotating days/nights/weekends with emphasize on weekends from 6a-6p.
Requirements
Must have experience doing orthopedic trauma cases.
CT Physician Assistant License required upon hire
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
