Accounting Manager

Sparks Group is teaming up with a renowned staffing organization seeking a Senior Accountant OR Accounting Manager with experience within the Staffing Industry to lead the finance and accounting operations This is a high-impact role for someone who’s detail-oriented, hands on, and excited to shape financial systems and processes in a growing organization. As the go-to person for all things finance, you’ll manage day-to-day accounting, oversee payroll and invoicing, support strategic planning, and ensure compliance with GAAP and DCAA requirements. Responsibilities:

• Own core accounting functions: general ledger, revenue recognition, AP/AR, payroll, and month-end close
• Lead financial reporting and analysis: P&L, cash flow, KPIs, variance reporting, and budgeting
• Oversee invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and expense reconciliation
• Manage payroll processing, tax filings, and compensation administration
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and coordinate with CPA partners
• Maintain and improve integrations across Accounting, Payroll and ATS ERP’s.
• Support financial planning, forecasting, and executive reporting
• Review contracts and insurance coverage from a financial and risk perspective
• Act as 401(k) fiduciary and benefits admin lead

Qualifications/Background Profile:

• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience in a staffing agency environment with familiarity in government contracts.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, DCAA, and multi-state payroll/tax compliance
• Experience managing or integrating financial systems and platforms
• Confident leading both operational accounting and strategic financial initiatives
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with leadership, HR, and operations
