Tax Director

JustinBradley's client is a long standing global group of publishers. This dynamic organization is seeking a proven tax leader for their Tax Director position. The Tax Director will lead a team in managing compliance, planning, and risk analysis across all tax functions, including state and local tax (SALT), sales and use tax, and global indirect tax.

Playing a key role within the leadership team, the Tax Director will work closely with a wide range of business leaders and executive leadership to ensure alignment and execution towards the company's strategic goals. The Tax Director will bring their expertise in international tax and their sense of innovation to set sound tax strategies and optimize processes within the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the tax team, ensuring timely and accurate preparation, review, and filing of all tax returns, with a focus on SALT, sales and use tax, and other indirect tax requirements.
• Develop and implement comprehensive tax compliance strategies, identifying opportunities for tax savings and managing risks effectively.
• Stay current with tax regulations and emerging trends, providing strategic guidance and ensuring compliance across all entities.
• Take a lead role in managing tax audits and resolving related issues, acting as the primary liaison with tax authorities.

Key Requirements

• 7+ years of tax management experience, with expertise in SALT and pass-through entities.
• CPA is required
• Exposure to GST and VAT (global indirect tax) is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in OneSource Indirect Tax Solutions software preferred.

Compensation Range: $150,000-$180,000
