They are seeking a highly experienced Director of Tax with a strong legal background to lead their tax strategy and ensure regulatory alignment across all jurisdictions.
Position Summary:
The Director of Tax will oversee all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and risk management, with a particular emphasis on legal interpretation and regulatory strategy. This role is ideal for a tax professional who brings both deep technical expertise and legal insight to complex tax matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead federal, state, and local tax compliance and reporting functions.
Develop and implement tax strategies that align with legal and regulatory frameworks.
Interpret tax laws and advise on their implications for business operations and transactions.
Manage tax audits and represent the company in discussions with regulatory agencies.
Collaborate with legal counsel on tax-related matters, including mergers, acquisitions, and international operations.
Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and assess their impact on the organization.
Mentor and lead the internal tax team.
Qualifications:
CPA or Master’s in Taxation is a plus.
10 years+ of progressive leadership tax experience
Proven expertise in corporate tax law and regulatory compliance.
Experience advising on tax implications of complex business transactions.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems.
