Urgent Care - Medical Assistant (MA)

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care, assisting healthcare providers, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your Impact includes patient interaction such as engaging with patients in a welcoming and professional manner, addressing inquiries, explaining prescribed medications, offering guidance on lifestyle modifications, and addressing patient questions and concerns. Clinical responsibilities include supporting clinical operations and patient care, conducting preliminary evaluations, performing basic clinical procedures, documenting patient information accurately, and medication administration under supervision. Collaboration with the clinical team involves working closely with other members to ensure seamless coordination of patient care, communicating effectively, collaborating on discharge plans, and supporting training of new team members. Required availability includes working 12-hour shifts with specific requirements for full-time, part-time, and per diem schedules, flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and travel within a one-hour distance for shifts and training. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, Medical Assistant certification or experience, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, compassionate and patient-focused attitude, proactive communication skills, trustworthiness, effective collaboration, team player mentality, and technical proficiency. Bonus qualifications include 1-2 years of patient triage experience in urgent care or emergency department.
