Every day, thousands of employees, transport vehicles, and local residents depend on Chakan’s roads to reach factories, offices, and homes. But the current road conditions are alarming, massive potholes, waterlogging during rains, and damaged side roads make daily commuting extremely unsafe. Accidents, vehicle breakdowns, and hours of traffic are now routine for those who travel through Chakan. govt is busy in MLA more seats are acquisition but they are not planning to repair the roads. Since long years seeing news only ,road is sanctioned and will get 8 lane 10 lane but still it is in news only not on actualization.
The surprising part is that all the big OEMs are keeping quite. If they decide then things can be changed much faster. Their employees are suffering mentally, physically. So many man hours are getting totally waste. But still they are not crying..
The worst MIDC infrastructure. Road work started 2 years back (may be because budget approved) and still not finished. Still in the same condition or worst than before. For 4 KM travel only. need more than 1 and half hour. Daily travel time more than 3 hours for 30 KM only. We/companies are paying all taxes and in returns daily headaches. What is the use of India reaching Mars, reaching trillion Doller economy???? It’s no use for the common people in India. This conditions are everywhere in country.
MIDC Pls wake up.
Very bad condition of roads.. Government not looking for this.. Every day its take min. 2hr. to travel 16 km.
Deep routed corruption, in selection and allocation of infra projects by the govt;is the route cause which has started to take its toll now . With so much govt revenue being generated by this industrial and automotive hub, it is very sad state of affairs . This need immediate makeover /facelift with improvements in infrastructure to bring back the confidence of strategic indian and foreign investors in this belt. Else the industry will be left with no alternative but stop further expansion/ investment in this belt and also in worst case scenario they may shift to a better location or state . Accountability and transparency required from vendors and contractors who are entrusted with makeover in infrastructure 🤔🙏
You are correct! collapsed all infrastructure and responsible bearucrats and local representative are just enjoying their power for self benifits. Chakan is big industrial hub of maharastra and cores of revenue deposited to Govt. but what get return, big question???
I went to Chakan after 2 years.exactly same enounter and same thoughts.well articulated.

1wThank you all for your support. 🙏 Together with some OEMs, we have already filed a formal complaint with MIDC regarding Chakan’s road conditions. While LinkedIn alone may not solve the problem, this platform is followed by ministers, senior politicians, and IAS officers, posting here helps bring public issues to their attention. I encourage you to also raise this with MIDC or other authorities. The more voices they hear, the faster action will follow. As responsible citizens and voters, it’s our right and our duty to speak up for safer infrastructure. Let’s keep this conversation alive until change happens. Jai Hind!
