On September 11, Project W had the privilege of convening a remarkable group of #innovators in #healthcare. From the 12 women in the Women Entrepreneurs Boot Camp | Health Tech cohort to the investors and experts who shared their expertise, these women and men are envisioning, building, and fostering solutions to ensure more equitable, accessible, and effective healthcare for generations to come.
Here are some of our takeaways from the day and how the companies in WEB | Health Tech 2025 are transforming healthcare:
➡️ Women’s health has long been overlooked in research, in diagnostics and therapeutics, and in gender-specific solutions and services. These companies are building solutions to improve the health and wellbeing of women throughout their lifecycles: Osteoboost Health, iSono Health, LUWI, BabyLiveAdvice, INC, and Sona.
➡️ Certain communities have limited access to even basic healthcare because of distrust, stigma, or lack of mobility. Zócalo Health, Onward, and The Playbook are connecting underserved communities with the healthcare they need.
➡️ Healthcare systems want innovations that deliver services faster, easier, with better outcomes and at less cost. ParaDocs Health, Soundable Health, Akara, and Pulse Charter Connect have developed solutions to reduce the care burden, deliver better outcomes, and improve the care delivery experience for both patients and providers.
While there are unprecedented challenges currently facing the future of healthcare innovation, progress continues to be made. Many thanks to David Morris, MD for framing the challenges with solutions currently underway through his work at UCSF Innovation Ventures and through work being done throughout the ecosystem, including by the women of WEB | Health Tech 2025.
Thanks to the experts and investors who shared their insights and provided guidance to help the companies in the cohort scale their businesses and drive the innovation necessary to ensure a healthier future.
