The #AIActionPlan, released on July 23, 2025 by the Trump administration, signals a turning point in the federal government’s approach to artificial intelligence governance. It is designed to establish American AI dominance on the global stage but it also places greater responsibility for sound and safe AI deployment on industry actors, particularly those who bring AI into real-world applications. “The real work ahead isn't choosing between innovation and responsibility—it's proving they're inseparable." said Jon Iwata, Executive Chairman of the Data & Trust Alliance.
