A good perspective of the changing focus on industry actors as the critical AI governance leaders rather than regulatory bodies.
The #AIActionPlan, released on July 23, 2025 by the Trump administration, signals a turning point in the federal government’s approach to artificial intelligence governance. It is designed to establish American AI dominance on the global stage but it also places greater responsibility for sound and safe AI deployment on industry actors, particularly those who bring AI into real-world applications. “The real work ahead isn't choosing between innovation and responsibility—it's proving they're inseparable." said Jon Iwata, Executive Chairman of the Data & Trust Alliance. "As deployers become the de facto standard-setters, our Alliance members have the opportunity to demonstrate that the most competitive AI strategies are also the most trustworthy ones." Data is the oxygen that fuels AI acceleration. I know this is a bit of a cliché, but here's the reality...most enterprise data strategies weren't built for the AI era. Over 62% of organizations believe the lack of data governance is the main challenge inhibiting AI initiatives. Organizations are hitting roadblocks not because they lack data governance, but because their current frameworks can't handle AI's demands. Traditional governance models were designed for predictable, batch-processed data flows. AI requires something fundamentally different: dynamic, real-time data management that can adapt as quickly as the models consuming it. The companies winning with AI are building governance systems that respond dynamically to changing requirements. They're implementing intelligent data validation that learns and evolves, creating reusable data assets that accelerate model development, and establishing oversight mechanisms that scale with automation. I'm curious about your experiences: How is your organization adapting its data management for AI workloads? What tools are you finding valuable in your Data-AI Governance journey? How have you evolved your data platform and architecture to be AI-ready? This is complex territory where shared insights benefit everyone. #Data4AI #DataGuy #AIGovernance #DigitalTransformation

💡 The EU AI Act is reshaping how AI is handled in the IT channel—raising big questions around risk, compliance, and innovation. Gary Morris dives into this in a great blog featuring insights from vendors like Superna, Unframe AI, Datadobi, Cloudian Inc, Sonatype, ManageEngine, RealVNC and Panzura. What stood out to me: it’s not just about ticking boxes—it’s about building trust through transparency, strong data practices, and collaboration. If you're in the channel and want to see how vendors are turning regulation into opportunity, this is a must-read. 🌍 🔗 Read it here: https://lnkd.in/eQDxN5a8 #EUAIACT #AI #ChannelCommunity #ClimbChannelSolutions #TrustInTech #Compliance #Innovation
