Anthropic just dropped a Claude update and I'm honestly pretty excited about it 👀 Claude can now create actual files, vs just creating artifacts. This means, excel spreadsheets, documents, PowerPoint decks, PDFs. This is great for business owners who spend hours every week on stuff like: - Turning messy sales data into something that actually makes sense - Building financial models from scratch (when you're not even sure you're doing it right) - Converting meeting notes into proper presentations for clients - Organizing receipts and invoices into spreadsheets Now you can literally just describe what you need and get back a working file. Just treat Claude like your junior employee who might need a review when they turn it in. ➡️ Here's what you can do this week: Pick ONE recurring task that eats up your time (maybe monthly reporting or client proposals). If you have Claude access, enable the file creation feature and test it on that task. If you don't have access yet, start documenting which manual processes are slowing you down. Write them down. When this rolls out wider, you'll know exactly where to start. Check it out: https://lnkd.in/g9Fek_UZ #SmallBusiness #AI #Productivity

Anthropic rolled out new productivity features to Claude, letting users create and edit Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and PDF files directly in chat. Claude now runs in a private computing environment to generate reports with charts, formulas, and analysis, and can convert formats like PDFs into slide decks or meeting notes into documents. It’s a direct challenge to OpenAI in the workplace AI race. The update is live for Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers, with Pro access coming soon.

🚀 Good news in AI-powered productivity! Anthropic just gave Claude a great upgrade: it can now create and edit ready-to-use files—Excel spreadsheets, Word docs, PowerPoint decks, even PDFs—directly within your conversation. 💡 It’s Claude stepping into the role of an active assistant—not just giving you advice, but handing you a good first draft. What this unlocks: Data Analysts → Upload messy raw data, get back a clean spreadsheet with analysis, charts, and written insights. Finance Teams → Ask for a budget model with variance analysis or a project tracker with dashboards—Claude builds it, with working formulas. Anyone → Drop in a long PDF, get a polished PowerPoint summary. Turn meeting notes into client-ready docs. Organize invoices, build forecasts, or generate population segmentation without advanced technical skills. 👉 The takeaway: AI assistants are rapidly evolving from advisors to virtual assistants — capable of performing simple tasks and delivering real business value. https://lnkd.in/dUsFrCEH

Five Ctrl tips. The Control key gives you a number of options to quickly perform certain actions. This means you can leave your mouse alone (sometimes 🙂 ). Ctrl 5 to strike through text Ctrl 4 to underline text Ctrl 3 to italicize text Ctrl 2 to make text bold and at number 1, by far the biggest time-saver: Ctrl 1 to open format cells. What’s your favorite shortcut? I’m really curious. #Excel #Exceltip #shortcut

Anthropic announced that Claude can generate and modify Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, and PDFs within Claude and its desktop application. Users can describe their requirements, upload data, and receive completed files rather than just text responses or in-app artifacts. The timing coincides with reports from The Information that Microsoft plans to integrate Anthropic’s AI models into Office 365 alongside OpenAI, after internal testing showed Claude Sonnet 4 outperforms OpenAI at visual design and spreadsheet automation tasks. This positions Claude as a comprehensive workplace assistant capable of handling document-based workflows end-to-end, potentially explaining Microsoft’s interest in incorporating Anthropic’s technology into its productivity suite

We think in spreadsheets 📉. But we’re convinced by visuals 🗺️. Last week I was reminded: I can build the most beautifully organized spreadsheet in the world. Every formula perfect, every assumption clear, every point clearly highlighted... And it will still only convince me. When I share it with others? It never land the same way. Even boiled down to a handful of clear numbers, it’s not enough. But one strong visual—one chart, one image, one slide—does what pages of spreadsheets cannot. It doesn’t just inform. It persuades. If you want to move people, remember: logic validates your point, but visuals make it stick.
