We’re sharing a closer look at the installation of 10 pre-cast concrete bridge beams over the River Ouzel in Milton Keynes for our client St Joseph | Berkeley Group Plc 🖤💛 Over two days, our lift team installed each beam, weighing 84.1 tonnes and measuring 34.2 metres in length, using the LTM1800 super lift supported by a 150-tonne slave crane. The operation required precision throughout, from manoeuvring over the river and adding 200 tonnes of counterweights mid-lift, to placing each beam onto the abutment walls with millimetre accuracy. Stephen Edwards and his team carefully planned the installation in collaboration with Trident Lifting Solutions Ltd, who managed and oversaw all lifting operations to ensure the highest safety standards were upheld. 🎥 Watch the full installation unfold in the video below 👇 #riverousal #bridge #statomgroup #civilengineering #rcframe #groundworks #demolition #remediation #riverwall #towercranes #design #mep #basement #plantandmachinery #sparktech #demoforce #trident #slipform #flushline #futurelooksbright

When it comes to building in blast zones, material choice isn't just about cost; it's about lives. Concrete might be common, but it’s rigid and prone to cracking under pressure. Steel, on the other hand, absorbs blast energy, flexes without failing, and offers unmatched design flexibility. At RedGuard, we’ve put both to the test, literally. The results? Steel leads in safety, speed, and performance. Read the full breakdown and see why steel wins for blast-resistant construction: https://bit.ly/4fdHb7U

🔩 Ready for the Pour: Reinforcement in Action on U Beam Bridge Construction 🔩 Here’s a look behind the scenes as the reinforcement is set in position for a U Beam bridge, capable of spanning up to 38 metres. Getting the rebar placement absolutely right is critical: correct spacing and coverage over the steel ensures the finished beam delivers the strength, durability, and safety required for major infrastructure projects. ✔️ Precision in rebar layout is essential for structural integrity ✔️ Proper coverage protects against corrosion and maximises lifespan ✔️ Every detail is checked to meet design and compliance standards The reinforcement you see here will soon be encased in high-quality concrete, forming a robust U Beam ready to support the next generation of bridges. #ABMPrecast #UBeam #BridgeConstruction #Reinforcement #CivilEngineering #PrecastConcrete #Infrastructure #StructuralIntegrity #UKConstruction

The Globalplex Bridge is rising quickly, with some of the project’s biggest milestones now in place. All 167 piles have been driven, four 60-foot girders spanning River Road are set, and precast installation is complete on both the land and batture sides. In just the past month, our infrastructure team has installed 14 bent caps and 26 spans of precast deck panels - momentum made possible by the Renegade Delivery Method (RDM), which integrates design, offsite manufacturing, and onsite execution to keep projects moving faster and on schedule. A special thanks to our partner Alfred Miller Companies, whose engineering of the precast bent caps and deck panels has been instrumental in making this progress possible. Next, work shifts over the Mississippi River for the final precast installation, followed by the topping slab that will complete the structure. #thinkRNGD

🎥 Smart Building. Visible Results. At the heart of this project, it’s not only steel and panels rising — our American flag waves high from the crane, massive and proud. We proudly hang it every evening when the crane is not in use, and take it down each morning before starting work. In today’s market, time is money — and the way you build makes all the difference. With our off-site pre-panelized cold-formed steel system and Comslab decks, we deliver cleaner, faster, and more precise construction — at a lower overall cost. 📍 Project in Progress • 9-story mid-rise • 200,000+ SF of pre-fabricated cold-formed steel wall panels • Comslab floor system + structural steel • Installed with unmatched precision and seamless logistics 🔑 Why developers choose this system: ✔️ Lower total construction cost ✔️ Cleaner, safer job sites ✔️ Accelerated schedules ✔️ Minimal wet trades on site ✔️ Reduced waste and fewer delays ✔️ Predictable timelines and costs Hit play and see what real efficiency looks like. 🚧 Pile Foundation Work 🚧 Piling is the backbone of any high-rise or commercial project. Even though it remains hidden after construction, it carries the full structural load above ground. At site, we follow Indian Standards (IS): IS 2911 (Part 1–4): Design & construction of pile foundations (bored cast-in-situ, driven cast-in-situ, precast piles, and load tests). IS 2911 (Part 4): Load testing of piles (routine, initial, cyclic & pull-out). IS 456:2000: Reinforced concrete for mix design & durability. 🔹 Strict adherence to IS codes ensures safety, stability, and quality delivery for our projects. #PileFoundation #CivilEngineering #ConstructionStandards #QualityFirst

Pile boring is a construction method for deep foundations where a large diameter cylindrical hole is drilled into the ground, a steel reinforcement cage is lowered into it, and then the hole is filled with concrete to form a load-bearing pile. This method is ideal for high-capacity structures in difficult soil conditions, as it minimizes noise and vibration and can be used for large diameters and significant depths, often transferring structural loads to deeper, more stable soil or rock layers.

Our Senior Project Engineer, Daniel Gray, shares how Keyfix supported The Arc, 225 City Road, a landmark 22-storey development in London. By supplying over 3,000m of NCCTs, 864 Pre-Formed Corners, and 8,500+ Stainless Steel Weeps, we delivered A1 fire compliance and seamless integration with the project’s complex façade. Working alongside our sister company, IG Masonry Support, we provided a fully integrated façade solution. IG's B.O.S.S. A1 units with geo bricks, along with bespoke Welded Masonry Support and Windposts, ensured precise alignment and structural performance across the façade’s challenging design. At Keyfix, we are proud to be champions of best practice, ensuring projects remain safe, compliant and ahead of the curve. #Keyfix #TheArcLondon #FireSafety #ConstructionInnovation
