Copilot Powered FAQ Web Part in SharePoint I have lost count of the number of list based FAQ sections we have created for SharePoint 'department' sites. Great to see Microsoft has introduced a new FAQ web part for SharePoint (in Public Preview) and powered by Copilot. It intelligently scans your existing documents (Word, PDF, PPT, Loop, even Teams transcripts) and generates suggested questions and answers. 💡 You stay in control: review, refine, categorise, and publish. Perfect for departments that experience significant Q&A traffic. A great way to: • Reduce internal support queries • Keep content consistent & discoverable • Deliver a smarter SharePoint intranet experience 👍 Only authors need a Copilot license ... viewers don’t! https://lnkd.in/e6BHrihA #Microsoft365 #SharePoint #Copilot #AI #IntelligentWorkplace #Valto #DigitalTransformation

As someone who lives and breathes content I’m always watching Microsoft’s updates closely — especially for SharePoint. Here are some recent enhancements that excite me — and how I see them aligning with what we do: 🔍 What’s New in SharePoint 1)Modernized Site Header & Footer Customization- You now have more control over visuals: background images, overlay colours, font options, and flexible footer alignment. Makes branding & navigation consistent and polished. 2) SharePoint Agents & AI-Enhancements- SharePoint agents let you build knowledge agents tied to content, with governance built in. Also tighter integration with Copilot and Teams. These are powerful for knowledge discovery, efficiency 3) New Analytics & Improved Engagement Metrics- Features like “estimated read time” for news posts, better metrics such as click-through-rates in page analytics, and improved visibility into AI model operations (like document translation & metadata autofill) are being rolled out. These help us understand content UX, user engagement, and where to focus. 4) Security & Lifecycle Enhancements There are updates around site lifecycle and compliance (site attestation), as well as better controls for permissions, reports on usage, and evolving policy around SharePoint Server (security updates, etc.). are you using this? #KnowledgeManagement #SharePoint #PowerBI #Agile #Leadership #DigitalWorkplace #AI #ContentStrategy

Copilot use case of the day ☀️ Inspired after learning how to add a SharePoint Agent into Teams channels from Daniel Anderson (I definitely recommend following his work and subscribing to his mailing list!), I began to test a few theories and genuinely feel this is how we could drive the cultural change of agents being considered as functional 'team members'. I've added a link to Daniel's full explainer in the comments, but in one sentence - agents created in SharePoint can be added into Teams channels so team members can request input from the agent within their conversations. There are so many great applications for this across projects and programmes in particular, but I've thought about how this could benefit a marketing team. A marketing team will be drawing on knowledge, expertise and specialisms of their colleagues in product, engineering, operations, sales etc. So as materials are being drafted and the marketing team are reviewing their work, they could be consulting with agents across multiple knowledge bases which are being maintained by the various teams. This will reduce the time demand on skilled staff answering questions and surfacing information from the knowledge bases. The final draft can be much more polished before disturbing other teams. #copilot #M365 #UseCase #O365 #microsoft #teams #copilotwin #GenAl #AI

REAL WORLD USAGE - Exploring Microsoft’s new Knowledge Agent in SharePoint I’ve just enabled the Knowledge Agent in my own tenancy (well i did at 7AM this morning) to see how it performs in practice - and it’s clear this could be a quite useful for content-heavy organisations. What does it bring? ✔️ Contextual Copilot assistance right inside SharePoint pages ✔️ Summarize highlights, auto-generate FAQs, and guide users on how to use resources ✔️ Smart metadata & tagging - it automatically suggests columns and fills values based on document content ✔️ Workflow automation in plain English (no Power Automate skills needed) ✔️ Content freshness & hygiene - flagging stale pages, broken links, and outdated docs (Tho, I am worried if, that a user, may, unknowingly do this in production systems with 100s if not 1000s of files in it - Lets cross that bridge shortly!) 💡 What struck me most: it’s metadata capable. In my own testing, the Knowledge Agent analysed a document library and suggested adding new columns like “Business contact email” and “Business identifier number,” then populated them across multiple file types (Word, Excel, PDF, MSG, etc). That’s a massive boost for content organisation, search, and governance without manual tagging (Now Copilot needs to take it into account!) Why it matters: This isn’t just another Copilot feature - it’s a step toward automated QUALITY knowledge management. It helps keep content discoverable, compliant, and current without drowning in manual upkeep. 📸 Check out the screenshots below from my own Archon Gnosis tenancy with the Knowledge Agent live (The Knowledge Agent is a preview feature currently and not fully released by Microsoft) 👉 Read the official Microsoft announcement here: https://lnkd.in/gTGv7aAB #Microsoft365 #SharePoint #Copilot #KnowledgeManagement #MVPBuzz #ModernWork #AIAgents #KnowledgeAgent #LearningFriday

🔎 From Stacks of Files to Smart Knowledge We’ve all been there—scrolling endlessly through a document library, trying to remember the right file name, or manually tagging content so others can find it later. It’s time-consuming, and honestly, not the work that inspires us. That’s why Microsoft’s launch of the Knowledge Agent in SharePoint (public preview) feels like such a game-changer. Instead of asking you to keep things tidy, Knowledge Agent steps in—improving metadata hygiene automatically and surfacing the most useful actions depending on your role and context. 👩💻 As a site owner, it helps you fix broken links, retire outdated pages, and close content gaps. 📂 As a library owner or editor, it organizes libraries, sets rules, autofills metadata, and creates views that make navigation seamless. 👀 As a viewer, you can simply “ask a question” and get instant answers grounded in the files or pages you’re looking at. And it doesn’t stop there—summaries, document comparisons, FAQs, even audio overviews are just a natural language prompt away. This isn’t just about managing documents—it’s about unlocking knowledge in the flow of work. 🗓️ Microsoft 365 Roadmap - Copilot in SharePoint is starting to shape. After the SharePoint Agents, Microsoft is rolling a new AI features based on the Microsoft 365 Copilot license in SharePoint Online. After the AI Section was created by AI on the SharePoint pages, AI Actions will be rolled out to SharePoint Document Libraries. 🔹Description We’re expanding AI capabilities to SharePoint document libraries in Microsoft 365 on the web. AI file actions—already available in OneDrive—will now be accessible in SharePoint, enabling users to summarize content, compare files, generate FAQs, ask questions, and create audio overviews directly from document libraries. AI file actions will be available to all users with a Copilot license in SharePoint document libraries on the web. These actions mirror those currently available in OneDrive and offer enhanced productivity by enabling users to interact with files using natural language prompts. This feature is on by default and does not require admin configuration. Sections with AI works by first looking at the context of your page to offer prompt suggestions for what content you need next to offer a starting point. Once you click generate, Sections with AI then leverages your sources, the knowledge and content already inside of your organization, and the content already on your page to create rich sections that go beyond just image and text. This could mean including information from meeting transcripts, recent documents, or any other knowledge Copilot has access to. Toggle between options in the header and choose your favorite! 🔹Release stages: Rolling out 🔹 References Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 1141949 Roadmap ID 488297 🔻 To stay updated with the latest developments in Microsoft 365, subscribe to the M365 & Copilot Weekly Digest: https://lnkd.in/duw7YwiM #sharepoint #copilot #microsoft365 #office365 #microsoft365copilot #copilotinsharepoint
