Instagram rolled out three updates yesterday that will shift the game for brands. They make the platform feel more human again and give your audience new ways to move your content. Reposts are now built in. If you post something great, it doesn’t have to fade after 48 hours. People can now reshare public Reels and posts with credit straight to their profile. That’s free distribution you didn’t have to buy. Friends tab in Reels. A feed showing what people you follow have liked, commented on or reposted. Every bit of engagement now has the potential to put your content in front of someone new who trusts the person who interacted with it. Instagram Map. An opt-in feature that lets friends see your last active location and explore local Reels, Stories and Notes from that place. For local businesses, events and destinations, this is native discovery happening right where decisions get made. The play is simple: make content so good people want to repost it without you asking. Tie your stories to real moments and places your audience would share with friends in person.
