Instagram has been rolling out a lot of updates lately, but this one is truly a shift in strategy. The newly launched Repost feature allows you to share other users' posts and Reels directly to your feed and profile, in a dedicated tab. For content creators and marketers, this is a powerful tool, it helps amplify reach, encourages collaboration, and makes high-performing content more visible. If Instagram’s algorithm continues to evolve like TikTok’s, this could open the door to faster content virality and greater organic growth. It’s not just a repost, it’s a new way to boost visibility.

🚨 Breaking news: Instagram has launched reposts 🔁 Instagram’s newest feature lets users repost reels and posts directly in the app, with the goal of helping “shareworthy content” reach more people. But it raises an important question for anyone working in the creative and content space. Are we making it easier to connect? Or just easier to amplify the same curated, influencer-driven content that’s already dominating the platform? Real, personal content is already being buried by a flood of suggested posts, sponsored content, and algorithmic noise. Now, with reposts, the line between authentic sharing and content recycling is blurrier than ever. For creatives, brands, and everyday users, this could mean: Less visibility for original, organic posts More pressure to "perform" rather than express A growing disconnect from the platform's roots (ie real people, sharing real moments) Instagram used to be a space for creativity, spontaneity, and community. Now it's feeling more and more like a TikTok wannabe. Is this feature another step away from that, or can it be reclaimed to elevate meaningful content again? Only time will tell.

🚨 Instagram’s NEW Repost Feature is here… and it’s a game changer! 🚨 If you’re a Social Media Manager, this isn’t just another update, it’s a sign that quality content continues to be the true currency of social media. Here’s what I mean👇🏽 Instagram now allows users to repost content (like X/Twitter retweets or TikTok reposts) natively on the app and that has huge implications for reach, visibility, and how we measure success. 🔁 If your content is already getting shares, then the transition to reposts will feel natural and effortless for your audience. 📊 And for those who found sharing “too much work” before? This lowers the barrier completely. 📈 It also gives us a new, trackable metric to measure audience love and engagement. Here’s why this is exciting for SMMs: Easier way to amplify posts from clients, partners, and creators Gives evergreen content even more legs (your best posts will keep living!) Helps you identify high-performing content more clearly Provides more social proof to boost credibility New layer of content strategy based on shareability + repost value 💡 Takeaway: In a world of ever-changing algorithms, the one thing that remains undefeated? Valuable, share-worthy content. Not trends. Not gimmicks. Just solid, evergreen, high-impact content. 🤔 Fellow SMMs ,what’s your take? Will reposts make shares/reach easier to track? How do you think this will reflect in analytics reports? Are you already adjusting your content strategy to factor this in? Let’s discuss in the comments! ⬇️ #SocialMediaMarketing #InstagramUpdate #ContentMarketing #DigitalMarketing #SocialMediaManagers #SMMTips #LinkedInCreators #InstagramReposts

Ever feel like IG reels end RIGHTTTT when they’re getting good? Well, not anymore. Instagram just rolled out 'Reels linking'. You can now connect multiple instagram reels into a full series, and literally guide your audience from Part 1 to Part 2, 3, and beyond. Think about what that means: ☑ Tutorials don’t have to feel rushed ☑ Campaigns can be told in chapters ☑ Behind-the-scenes can actually feel like a story ☑ You can, like, finally make binge-worthy content My advice is: Don’t just link random stuff together. Your clips need to actually connect, .. or people bounce. And if you want them to keep watching? End each reel with a cliffhanger. Like a teaser, an unfinished thought, or a “watch part 2” hook. This isn’t brand-new in the world (TikTok’s been doing it), but it’s new to IG. And it might be the missing piece in your social media strategy.

Instagram just gave creators a better shot at organic reach, but most people haven’t caught on yet. Here’s what changed, and why it matters: Before, if someone wanted to share your post, the default was “Share to Story.” That gave you a quick bump in reach, but it vanished after 24 hours. No comments. No lasting discovery. Just a flash of attention. Now, with the new Repost feature, shared posts live in the feed. That’s a big deal for a few reasons: - The original creator stays credited - The content sticks around, not just 24 hours - Viewers can like, comment, and tap through to your profile You don’t get all the engagement, but you get something more valuable: continued visibility. If you’re a creator, this is a new lane for reach and relevance. If you’re a brand, it’s an easy way to support the people in your ecosystem. This feature is still flying under the radar. It won’t be for long.

Instagram just rolled out new features — and they’re getting mixed reviews. 🔁 The wins: Reposts: Instagram’s new Repost button (à la TikTok) makes it easier for users to share content they love — and for your content to be reshared. Reposts show up in followers’ feeds and live on a dedicated tab, giving your brand more chances to be discovered organically. Bonus: original creators and brands are credited, so visibility = value. Friends Feed: Think of it as the old activity feed, but for Reels. This new tab shows the public content your friends are liking and commenting on which is great news for brands and creators looking for extra eyeballs! 📍 The concern: Map: The new Map feature allows users to share their real-time location with followers — and many are reporting that it turned on by default. While this feature is designed for discovery and local engagement, privacy concerns dominate the conversation. At EGC, we’re tracking these updates closely to help clients adapt. Not every new feature is a fit but knowing what to lean into is how brands stay ahead. Let’s talk about how this impacts your content strategy: https://lnkd.in/eSV_CHKM
