#DIGITAL SENSORS FOR CORROSION UNDER INSULATION (CUI) More than 80% of material of construction used in industry is ferrous steels such as carbon steels and stainless steels. Metals being good conductor of heat, we have to insulate them for either gain or loss of heat in cold and hot insulated pipelines respectively. Along with hot and cold insulations done for heat conservation, other issues such as personal safety, idling of assets, intermittent usage of assets and cyclic operations also lead to CUI. Inspection Engineers and Plant Inspectors have struggled a lot in deciding how much insulation to be removed and where. Due to cost and time pressures, such decisions become difficult for Integrity Engineers too. Lately, AI and Digital Sensors have come to rescue in corrosion detection, modelling and real time monitoring. These sensors are connected with mobile networks and equipped with software having interactive dashboards. This proactive detection with screening focused areas is becoming easier. ARISE has now announced the JV with its EU partner to launch this tool. The tool can be easily installed with negligible removal of insulation and sensor batteries are long lasting. No need for searching for CUI signatures. All locations will be displayed live with real time classification in red, green and yellow categories. The tool an save almost 30% of inspection cost and avoid safety exposure of inspection teams. https://lnkd.in/d3TZpiH4

#AI in Inspection and Corrosion Management Asset Integrity Management can not be imagined without Inspection Data collection. The collection of this data needs physical and manual efforts. Such work also involves process and personal safety such as work at height or work in confined spaces and also weather related issues such as heat index. ARISE has increased its focus on improving the efficiency and accuracy of Inspection data thru new probes which are connected by cellular and wireless networks. These probes are delivered with added software which can assist in real time monitoring and classification of risks thru color codes - red, green and orange. REAL TIME MONITORING has become a proactive tool in detecting and resolving corrosion issues before the asset reach at the stage of FFS evaluations. Our new Corrosion Under Insulation detection probes are easy to install and can give real time data for your pipelines. Please DM us for more details.
