When you’re brainstorming the big things, don’t forget to use AI to accelerate the little things too. Post-it notes are still a popular medium at away days and for ideation but recording a wall of scrawl is a painful chore. Instead of typing them up, tell Microsoft Copilot or your favourite LLM to transcribe a photo of your wall and group them into bulleted lists. You still need to check the results but it’s a lot quicker than starting from scratch. Tip: ask people not to overlap notes and avoid using blue notes or you’ll need to adjust the image contrast. At HM Revenue & Customs we’re starting to collect and share these little personal productivity tips. A recent limited Copilot trial, if the results scale up, suggests that next year we could see as many as 2 million hours saved across the organisation. That frees up time for delivering better customer service, closing the tax gap and looking up from the grind to think about modernising everything we do. Agentic world is already here! I am so glad to see development for big platforms like Microsoft! As the world evolves, agent is going to be embedded into day-to-day workflow to assist humans.
