Want a dental practice that pays you for life, not just for your time right now? This is how you make it happen: 1️⃣ Year 1: Nail two simple but critical things. Do them well. (1) Obtain your own dental sleep medicine contracts. (2) Build a strong system and surround yourself with reputable experts. 2️⃣ Years 2-3: Turn that foundation into momentum. You should be hitting 20 or more cases per month. You’ve created a practice that’s not just sustainable, it’s saleable. Picture this: You sell your general dental practice. You transition into only dental sleep medicine during your early retirement. And then you sell that sleep medicine practice too. For millions. Why? Because you called your own shots. You signed your own contracts. You built real equity. You created real value. That’s not theory. That’s what we’ve seen our clients achieve over 16 years of billing for dentists. No smoke. No mirrors. Just results.

I'm grateful for the work of Senator Laura Wakim Chapman, Joe Funkhouser, Amy Smith, DDS, MS, Governor Patrick Morrisey and others who worked to shape WV Senate Bill 710, defining an appropriate role for teledentistry in West Virginia. At the national level, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine has released updated standards, and Kevin Postol's recent article in the American Academy of Sleep Medicine’s Montage highlights the direction of care in this space: "Teledentistry is here to stay. But in dental sleep medicine, it is not an end-to-end solution. With clear standards in place and qualified dentists at the forefront, we can move forward with both innovation and accountability, ensuring that patients recieve care that's convenient, effective and safe."
