Microsoft releases Windows 11 version 25H2 official ISOs to Windows Insiders Microsoft has released official ISO media for Windows 11 version 25H2, which means the update is at the very last stage before it's made generally available in the coming weeks. The ISOs are available to download via the Windows Insider Program website, but the media should be production ready and safe to install on non-Insider PCs. Microsoft originally intended to release the ISO media a week ago, but delayed them at the last minute for an unspecified reason. From today, users can upgrade to or install the next version of Windows 11 using the official install media. The ISO media is roughly 7GB in size, depending on which language you select. Starting September 1st, 2025, OE Classic will no longer support Windows 2000. This decision comes 25 years after the release of Windows 2000 and 15 years after Microsoft officially discontinued it. This change has been a long time coming and should not be surprising. The compatibility layer that allowed OE Classic to run on Windows 2000 will no longer be maintained, allowing us to focus on more relevant features. Usage statistics show that only a handful of users are still on Windows 2000 (possibly even bots), and we have received very few support inquiries about it. In fact, the compatibility layer has been broken for several versions without most users noticing it. For this reason, we believe it's the right time to officially end support. Support for Windows XP (including XP 64-bit) and all newer versions of Windows will continue. Windows Backup App Gains Intune Support as Windows 10 Nears End Microsoft is preparing to make its Windows Backup app for organizations generally available in Intune next month. The feature, currently in preview, will allow IT admins to manage backup and restore of user settings during the Windows setup process, especially useful for companies moving from Windows 10 to 11. The app first appeared in the August 2025 C-release update, with broader rollout through the September Patch.
