No. 1: Upshot Updates

Here’s the first edition of #UPshotUPdates — my new series about all things UPSHOT League!

At UPSHOT, community, passion, and opportunity are at our core.

The Upshot League is a new women’s pro basketball league launching in 2026 — a league built for players, fans, coaches, and communities who believe in the power of sports to inspire and UPlift and the ability for women’s sports in particular to ignite that special connectivity and motivation that galvanizes communities. We’re here to UPend, by providing more access, more opportunity, and create the platform for everyone to UP their shot.

As a co-founder, investor, and commissioner, this league speaks to my very soul. Since I was a young girl who loved sports so much  for how it shaped me, taught me, and connected me both to myself and something bigger than myself, I have lived and witnessed the power of sport to be life-changing and life-enhancing. And know you do not have to be an athlete to experience this. Although I believe that we are all athletes, and more on that perhaps in another UPSHOT UPdate.

The energy in cities we will be launching in May of 2026, Jacksonville, Charlotte, Savannah, and Greensboro, has been incredibly validating. The need for more playing opportunities for outstanding women’s basketball players is very real. Creating opportunities for coaches who want to take their next steps in becoming their best selves as they bring their athletes to their next best steps is validating. The investment community, including the active engagement, hand raising, and checks passing by women, is validating.

UPshot is about world-class basketball and unforgettable entertainment, yes — but it’s also about skyrocketing opportunity in women’s sports enhanced by investing in the communities in which we play. So our young fans and all of our fans who are young at heart will be able to participate in the game of life fully, laughing, being entertained, learning, and making new friends.

We’re creating an asset class for women, building stronger communities, and upping everyone’s shot: the athletes, coaches, fans, front offices, and every community we touch.

When I say this is an “opportunity league,” I mean it. Being in the business of sports should generate joy, create lasting impact, and be accessible to all.

That’s what we’re building — and I couldn’t be prouder. If you are interested in participating in the UPswell of excitement, let us know. Opportunities to invest in future teams, partnerships, sponsorships, ticket packages, and in the communities are all possible.

You can be part of the UPrising. We look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Christina, you have no complaints system for one of your domain providers FatCow, therefore I can only contact you here. Our website has been down for a week. The service on getting them to understand i needed to takeover the account, their inability to respond to account takeover has led me to contacting you. We are about to go into a 2nd week with no website or emails. We are a key trauma charity based in UK, I have grant applications worth over 200k, who will land on our website to find a dead domain. Today I have also messaged your CEO. Please message me ASAP in my inbox today
