30 Years of MTM Health: Growth, Transformation, and Purpose

This month marks a major milestone: MTM Health is officially 30 years old.

When my parents Peg and Lynn Griswold founded the company in 1995, they were determined to solve a problem they saw firsthand—how challenging it was for health plans to coordinate non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) for their members. They saw an opportunity to make a difference, and from a one-room office in Missouri, they launched what would become one of the nation’s most trusted partners in healthcare access.

Fast forward three decades, and that vision has grown into something extraordinary.

Today, MTM Health operates in all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico. We employ more than 6,000 passionate team members, and we coordinate over 35 million trips every year for more than 25 million people. Yet no matter how large we grow, we remain grounded in the values my parents instilled from day one: compassion, innovation, and service.

It’s hard to believe it’s also been 20 years since I stepped into the role of President and CEO. Taking the reins from my parents was both humbling and inspiring. I knew I had big shoes to fill—and even bigger goals to reach. Over the past two decades, I’ve worked alongside our amazing team to evolve MTM Health into something more than a transportation broker. We are now a leader in health access solutions—delivering not just rides, but holistic, member-centered care.

This year’s rebrand from Medical Transportation Management (MTM) to simply MTM Health reflects that evolution. From our MTM Link technology platform and our rideshare-powered VeyoRide model to our growing programs like Wanda Care , Mobile Integrated Health, and innovative home and community-based therapy services, we’re focused on the full picture of access, equity, and outcomes.

I often say that our work is about creating connections that matter. Each ride we provide, each solution we implement, each community we serve—that’s a connection that helps someone live a healthier, more independent life. That’s the impact my parents dreamed of. That’s the legacy we continue.
