Will AI take my Job?
The Debate Continues…
The question of whether #artificialintelligence (AI) will replace human workers has been the subject of many debates. Some argue that it will make many jobs redundant, while others believe it has the potential to create new jobs and increase productivity.
Personally, in the last few weeks after using #chatgpt , I feel that with AI as our sidekick, we can accomplish more than ever before. But here’s the catch: AI is proving to be more intelligent and cooperative than humans in many ways. Today, #AI is cracking some of the toughest exams in the world, proving its absolute intelligence. It has shown the possibility of a connected intelligence which could be shared with precision, ease, and speed that humans can only dream of.
However, there’s something bigger at play here. It takes me back to something I picked up from one of Yuval Noah Harari’s famous podcast interviews, where he talks about #intelligence, #cooperation, and #conscience
In some way or another, these three things brought us here and made us the supreme species. AI is showing immense potential to be far more intelligent than humans and far more cooperative. What it lacks is conscience. Our conscience, our ability to feel things, that has played a significant part in our progress as a society. That’s how we solve problems, that’s how we build things. But the question is, can AI develop a conscience? Can it feel the way humans do? Probably not.
As we push the boundaries of AI, we risk creating a highly intelligent and cooperative society with zero conscience. Are we prepared for that possibility? Would it lead to the end of us as a species or the start of a new era of progress? The answers to these questions are uncertain.
But looking to the immediate future, there’s no denying that we need to be thoughtful, deliberate, and responsible in our use of AI. By doing so, we can create a future that balances technological progress with our innate humanity.
So, what do you think? Will take away our Jobs? Will AI be our friend or foe? The answer may be more dramatic and provocative than we ever imagined.

2yAI definitely can't crack insight with the set of challenges we had back then. 😜 Generally speaking, it is still on point with the right direction provided.

2yIf would be stupid of us not to embrace it. If there is anytime in human history where our industry have gotten a break from beating our brains up, this is it. Time to be effective in how we use our time.

2yI don't worry about employability. I feel AI is a powerful springboard for us to think laterally and more efficiently.
