ASC Legislative Champion to Chair Powerful Senate Finance Committee

We are happy to announce that US Senator Mike Crapo (R-ID) was confirmed as chairman of the Senate Finance Committee earlier this month. The Senate Finance Committee has jurisdiction over more than 50 percent of the federal budget, including #SocialSecurity, #Medicare and #Medicaid. Senator Crapo remains committed to expanding access to affordable, quality #healthcare. Moreover, as a former bill sponsor and longtime advocate for increased patient access to #ASCs, we are thankful for his voice on Capitol Hill.

In a press release announcing his selection as chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, Senator Crapo outlined his priorities for the 119th Congress. Senator Crapo identified pharmacy benefit manager reform, rural healthcare access and long-term payment stability for doctors as healthcare issues ripe for bipartisan cooperation on the committee.
