A blessing to kickoff 2023 together!
It was a busy start to 2023 with Snyk hosting in-person kickoffs in London, Boston, and Sydney. It was the first time teams have gathered since January 2020, when the company was ~300 employees.
Getting together with colleagues was a blessing, especially given the current market conditions, continued layoffs in the tech industry, and major crises occurring throughout the world. I wish anyone who has been impacted the best, and for folks who know me, if I can, I will try to help.
Having experienced the dot.com collapse (including collecting unemployment for several months), the financial crisis, and the COVID years, I encourage everyone to remain as positive as can be. Take the time to reflect on what you can do better, learn new skills, build new relationships, spend time with family, and most importantly, find balance and happiness outside of work.
Snyk Connections Week
The entire global marketing team got together in Boston. There were many incredible moments throughout the week, but these were the highlights for me:
I can't imagine a better way to kick off the year at Snyk. 🙏 Peter McKay Adriana Bokel Herde Tali Wahrhaft , and everyone who made the week possible. To 2023 and beyond!

2yAwesome accomplishments Jeff. That energy of yours is infectious in all good ways.
Enabling benevolent business leaders.
2yEver excited for all the things Snyk does to dominate their category, improve society and the developer ecosystem and become a generational admired brand. I feel grateful to have gotten to see it up close during my short time there. Also, great advice in the top of your piece, Jeff Yoshimura- "Take the time to reflect on what you can do better, learn new skills, build new relationships, spend time with family, and most importantly, find balance and happiness outside of work." 😀

2yWell said, Yosh! Thank you to so many people who made Connections Week possible and such a blast. And to Michal Ferguson (She/Her) and Francesca Krihely for herding us cats and making the Marketing-focused sessions both fun and productive. Congrats to all the superbly well-deserving award winners. Lucky to work with such a talented and fun group, especially my workshop partner-in-crime Sydney Milligan 👯♀️
