5. CDM Methodologies Panel (MP96) – Key Updates The 96th CDM Methodologies Panel Meeting (MP96), held February 26–28, 2025, in Bonn, Germany, focused on:

-Governance & Management – Updates from the 123rd Executive Board meeting and upcoming deadlines.

-Regulatory Matters – Revisions in GHG emission reductions, renewable energy storage, and wastewater treatment methodologies.

-Animal Manure Management – Further discussions on NM0386, consolidating methodologies for multi-site manure collection and biogas treatment (ACM0010 & AM0073), addressing fugitive methane emissions and IPCC updates.

-Non-Renewable Biomass (fNRB) Review – Developing subnational/regional values for clean cooking methodologies.

-New Methodologies – Assessing alternative rice cultivation, nitrogen fuel gas replacement, and microbiological agents for N₂O reduction.
