Opening Global Doors: A Journey Towards Higher Education Overseas 🌍✨

The Department of Biomedical Engineering, SNS College of Technology, proudly hosted an inspiring seminar titled “Your Gateway to Higher Education Overseas” on 26th August 2025. This event wasn’t just about information sharing—it was about igniting dreams, breaking barriers, and guiding young minds toward a future without borders.

Organizing this seminar alongside with my teammate JAYASHREE N. was truly a humbling experience. We firmly believe that education is not confined by geography. It is a journey of curiosity, resilience, and courage—qualities we witness every day in our students. To help them channel these aspirations globally, we brought together resource persons who not only spoke about opportunities but also shared real experiences that resonated deeply with our learners.

The session was graced by Mrs. Shweta Kancharla, Regional Manager at Akron University, USA, and Mr. Kartic, CEO of SPM (Study Abroad). Their presence was a beacon of hope for many students who dream of pursuing higher education in reputed international universities.

Mrs. Shweta Kancharla emphasized the importance of vision and determination while planning to study abroad. She highlighted that global education isn’t just about academics—it’s about embracing new cultures, expanding perspectives, and building confidence to stand tall in a competitive world. Her words were not only informative but also deeply motivating, leaving our students with a newfound clarity about their academic paths.

On the other hand, Mr. Kartic’s insights on practical aspects of studying abroad—ranging from applications, scholarships, and financial planning to cultural adjustments—were eye-opening. He spoke about the value of resilience and adaptability in succeeding in a new environment. His guidance made the dream of “Study Abroad” feel achievable and realistic for our students.

Adding to this enriching session, Mr. Krishna Jee Rao, an expert IELTS Tutor, played a crucial role in guiding students on the importance of language proficiency for overseas education. His valuable tips on preparing for IELTS, common challenges faced by aspirants, and strategies to excel in communication inspired great confidence among our students. His presence reminded everyone that mastering language is not just about clearing an exam—it is about expressing oneself effectively in a global arena.

As organizers, standing at the back of the hall and watching the spark in students’ eyes was the most rewarding part of this journey. Their questions reflected ambition, their attentiveness reflected hunger for growth, and their smiles reflected hope. In that moment, we realized this seminar was not just an event—it was a life-changing step for many.

Every initiative at SNS College of Technology is driven by a strong vision—to empower students with knowledge, exposure, and confidence. This seminar was a continuation of that mission, ensuring that our students do not just dream, but also dare to chase those dreams across continents.
