Do You Believe?
Discover the Power Within You- Eric Butterworth

Do You Believe?

Do you truly believe in the vision that you have?

Not just that it can happen but that it WILL happen.

There is a difference.

I don’t care what your goal is; one thing is for sure, failure is inevitable. You will make mistakes, you will be embarrassed, you will get hurt, and you will feel pain. But when you are so clear on what it is that you want and you believe that it is going to happen, none of that matters.

You are willing to take the risk because when it is all said and done, you know that the reward will be there.

That is faith.

That’s also what I didn’t realize.

The vision that was given to me was big. So big, that I allowed it to make me question whether I was capable of fulfilling it. At a point, my vision was clear, I believed in it, and I was sure that it would happen; but as time progressed, I started to question. When bills were due, when I was having trouble finding a job, when things just didn’t make sense…I began to doubt.

Don’t get me wrong, I knew that it could happen, I just wasn’t sure that it would.

I started to feel that every time I took one step forward, I would get pushed three steps back. So, I focused on that. I questioned why it was happening and became frustrated and confused. What I didn’t see was that although I wanted my vision to become reality, I was subconsciously fighting against myself.

That’s exactly what the devil wanted.

“The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy.” – John 10:10

The devil will throw obstacles in your way to distract you from the beautiful future that you have ahead of you. What’s yours is yours. the devil can’t take what has your name on it. However, what he can do is make you so weak that you are unable to confidently walk in it.

The devil throws obstacles in your way to weaken you and God allows the obstacles to strengthen you. Every time an obstacle presents itself, you are presented with a decision, will you allow it to promote your growth or stop it?

No matter what you may be facing today, know that it is not forever. If your vision hasn’t yet come to fruition, hold on to it. Keep it close and never let it go. Breathe and speak life into it every single day.

As long as you are still breathing, your vision can become a reality. It’s never too late.
