Donate a book - light a mind.

I responded upon seeing a poster on the MGEI WA site calling for donations of geology, mining, metallurgy books to the Polyteknik Energi dan Pertambangan in Bandung. I packed up about 60 such books from my collection of geoscience books and took them to their librarian, Melly Kusuma +62 857 1983 6752. The library is a neat small room lined with bookshelves. The polytechnic is to move over the next 2 years, where a larger library is to become the new home to such books. The library seeks another 300 more books to make it up to the 2,500 required for certification purposes.

I was then invited to chat with 1st year geology students while in their two classes doing minerology. Great to see so many eager to study geology.

I encourage others to donate their geoscience reference books.
