Entrepreneur Elevator Pitch - Season 12 Episode 2

Entrepreneur Elevator Pitch - Season 12 Episode 2

After enjoying last week's episode of Entrepreneur Elevator Pitch, I decided to run it back for this week's Demo Day Rundown.

Entrepreneur Elevator Pitch is a series where founders take an elevator to the top floor and pitch their company in 60 seconds. A board of investors watches from the top floor, and if they like what they hear, the elevator doors open, and the entrepreneur has the chance for an investment. If not? The elevator heads straight back down.

Pitching Founders

Jasmine Mooney from Holy! Water

  • A PhD-led company that creates products that focus on leveraging functional mushrooms, adaptogens, nootropics and ketones to promote longevity and a higher quality of life.

Juliana and Michael Fetherman from Making Authentic Friendships LLC

  • A web-based application that helps individuals with special needs find friends.

Steven Jiang and Aspen Buckingham from Overture Games

  • An in-person teaching platform that uses video games to get students excited to learn and play music.

Key Takeaways

  • CPG: Do I love CPG? Back to back episodes I chose CPG for an investment over tech.

  • No Investment: It was refreshing to see a show where no investment was given out. This seems more realistic.

  • Pivot: Overture Games took the judges feedback from their first appearance (watch) and pivoted to break into a new market. They made it one step further this time, unfortunately, still left without an investment.
