• IP: This was one of the few Demo Days where IP played a major role. A strong patent portfolio gives these startups a huge competitive edge—if their idea works, they’re already ahead.
• Self Invest: When a founder invests their own money, it speak volumes. It’s one thing to raise funding, but putting your own cash on the line shows real commitment.
• No Countdown Clock: Most Demo Days press the founders to be as fast as possible. It was nice to not have a countdown clock, so the founders could sell us their vision.
