Essentials for HPE Morpheus VM Essentials

I've joined the HPE Morpheus Software team focused as the Community Manager and Evangelist. There is a lot of excitement with the announcement of HPE Morpheus VM Essentials so I wanted to give an overview, and links to where you can learn more. There's also a download for the 60 day free trial.

What is HPE Morpheus VM Essentials?

VM Essentials is the first step in utilizing Morpheus across the HPE portfolio. With VM Essentials, customers can manage existing virtualized workloads, re-platform to the HPE VM (HVM) hypervisor, and experience a simple VM-vending experience across both stacks (VMware and HVMs).

The place to start where you can learn a lot more is the product page. Here's an easy to remember and even easier to bookmark link to the page: www.hpe.com/vmessentials.

The page has two tabs that are at the top of the page: Overview and Get started. When you land on the page, you are on the overview but be sure to click on Get started as there's a lot more there.

Here is a list (that I'll add to) with things you can find that will be helpful as you consider your alternatives to the VMware licensing cost.

• Step-by-step activiation guide - is a series of 8 videos that you'll find on the Get started page under the Getting to know VM Essentials demo. Each video looks at the steps to get going with VM Essentials.
• HPE Morpheus VM Essentials discussion forum - where you can get questions answered and get help if you run into any issues installing VM Essentials.
• HPE Morpheus VM Essentials Software Documentation Overview is from the support page and lists key support documents. It includes: User Guide & Deployment Guide, VM Essentials Manager Upgrade Guide (a section in the User Guide), HPE Reference Architecture, Compatibility matrix (HCL too).
