FinCorp is proud to announce the official opening of its newest satellite branch located within the Gazelle District Administration. This milestone marks FinCorp’s ongoing commitment to expanding financial access and inclusive economic growth across Papua New Guinea.
The satellite branch will serve the people of the Gazelle District, bringing FinCorp’s suite of financial services closer to the communities, families, and small businesses who need them most.
The opening event was attended by staff of the district administration, the FinCorp team including FinCorp’s Executive: Strategy & Execution, Ms. Belinda Manning , and officiated by Hon. Jelta Wong, Minister for Fisheries and Member for Gazelle Open.
In her remarks, Ms. Manning noted:
“Gazelle is a high impact district with a strong public sector footprint and significant economic contribution to East New Britain Province. With six schools, five local-level governments, seven health centers, twenty four community health posts, and seven police stations supporting a population of over 130,000 people, Gazelle District is a critical hub in the province. FinCorp is here to support the people of Gazelle with accessible, responsible and ethical lending and meaningful community engagement”
Minister Jelta Wong welcomed the initiative, saying:
“Bringing financial services closer to the people is an investment in the future of Gazelle. This partnership is timely and will support our local economy by giving small businesses, public servants, and everyday citizens the financial access they need. I thank FinCorp for recognizing the value of our district and for making this important commitment.”
The Gazelle satellite branch will offer a range of unsecured lending products, and serve as a local hub for customer service, community outreach, and financial literacy. FinCorp will also work in partnership with the Gazelle District Administration to support grassroots initiatives, with a particular focus on financial literacy, and youth engagement programmes.
As FinCorp continues to grow its footprint nationwide, its focus remains on building financial resilience and helping Papua New Guineans take charge of their futures one district at a time.
