The First Step to Unstoppable Confidence
How you think about your life, yourself, your relationships, your career and work has the power to create your reality. Your thoughts are magnetic energy. I talk alot about our nuerology and how the conscious and unconscious parts of our brains hold the patterns that create our life.
Have you ever been around someone who seemed really negative, always had dramas going on in their life, maybe they are consistently late, or flaky in their commitments... are they down on themselves and critical of others?
...And if you ask them about it- well that's just the way they are.
Hmmm, interesting.
>> Here's what you need to know.
Habitual thoughts create neural pathways.
There's nothing wrong with that person- they just have a set of disempowering beliefs and thoughts that are keeping them stuck in the pattern of life that they are not enjoying.
Would you like to enjoy life more? To experience more bliss, joy, love, adventure, excitement, success, satisfaction, passion or play?
Whatever it is you want to have more of in your external eperience of life, you first need to change the internal beliefs that hold these patterns in place.
Your thoughts are your energy. You can choose to think any thought whatsoever.
Isn't it amazing then, that so many people use their own thoughts to beat themselves up and create a reality of continual pain and suffering?
I'm not saying that it just magically happens if you start telling yourself that you are a CEO, making millions and impacting lives all over the world - you may even seem a little delusional at this early stage.
There's a reason why the people who achieve the most amazing things in the world seem a little crazy...
But what I am suggesting, is that if you get clear about what you want... when you start to think thoughts that support you to reaching new goals then you may surprise yourself.
I'll give you an example.
Have you noticed how many people people are afraid to try new activities - especially in front of others: dancing, singing, writing, negotiating... applying for roles that are above their current level?
What kind of thoughts would you say are running through their minds here?
Now here are some examples of common thoughts we have - don't worry, I've had them too.
"I'll look like a idiot, I can't do it, what if I fail?, I don't want to look stupid, they won't want me, I don't want to do it, it's too hard, I'll look dumb, what if they judge me? people will laugh at me, I hate this, that person is hot (hehe)... blah blah blah"
Sound familiar?
So here's a way to break through.
When you're trying something new... speak kindly yourself.
Here are some thoughts that you may like to start telling yourself:
"I can do it! ... I'm learning and it's fun ... I enjoy trying new things ... I am so blessed to have this opportunity ... people like me ... I'm kind, talented and beautiful ... I'm brilliant ... I am in control of my destiny ... I create options and new possibilities ... I am a success in life ... the whole world is on my side ... I believe in myself ... I have clear goals in mind for life ... people are counting on me, and no matter what my external circumstances may look like, I can make a difference ... I think of, work for and only expect the best."
Now, once you've changed your thoughts from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset, you keep instilling the thoughts through repetition > until they form a new belief in your mind.
>> While this is happening, you create your plan to get there AND start taking action on executing your plan.
YESSS! It's as simple as that.
I guarantee you, if you do this - your life will change and you will achieve incredible things.
People who live in the prison of a narrow mind have views that are suppressed and constricted. Their lives are full of suffering, sorrow and struggle.
Don't get me wrong- we all have struggles and challenges in life.
Every single one of us experiences challenges - the only people who don't are dead.
But it's how we choose to face these challenges that makes the difference.
If we approach life challenges with narrow beliefs, interests and perceptions; the world appears hard, boring, hopeless, predictable and fearsome.
The way out of all suffering is through becoming aware of your thoughts, catching them and choosing your thoughts carefully so that you use your super power to reprogram your mind and rewire your habits carefully.
Choose habits mindfully – do not let them choose you.
Repetition is the building blocks of skill and the seed of habits.
To have a new behaviour accepted as a habit in your subconscious mind, you need to repeat it about 2,200 times.
Maybe that seems like alot... but we have we have between 50,000- 70,000 thoughts per day, this means between 35 and 48 thoughts per minute per person.
The steady flow of thinking is a thick filter between our thoughts and feelings, our head and heart.
So the time it takes to change your mind is really up to you.
You can only hold one thought at a time in your mind, so choose the thought that serves you.
Make it powerful.
Dare to think and dream big.
>> Tip: Write it down because writing, drawing or creating something with your thoughts starts the process that brings your dreams to life xo
Your Actions
1. Examine the words, beliefs and statements you tell yourself and use to describe your life everyday. Explore the areas of:
- what you say about yourself,
- your relationships,
- your work,
- your health,
- your finances,
- your purpose,
- your family and your skills and abilities.
Write it all down, let it flow freely.
