From Challenge to Change: Our shared impact in 2024 ✊🏻
Dear Terre des hommes friends,
In a year shaped by climate disasters, protracted crises, and shrinking budgets, your support made it possible for us to act.
Our 2024 Annual Report is now available, and we are proud to share with you the highlights of our work over the past year!
Discover how, once again, we stood by millions of children and families in 27 countries.
A look at 2024 in numbers...
Thanks to the dedication of our teams, donors, partners, and volunteers, we made a real difference:
But behind each number lies a powerful story!
Like Khalif in Kenya, a baby saved from malnutrition thanks to emergency care. Or Engjëll in Albania, who became an advocate for child justice after being introduced to the issue. Salma in Lebanon, who regained hope after being displaced twice. And Ma Naw Lu in Myanmar, who received financial support following a devastating earthquake.
Each of them is a reminder of why we act, and why your support matters.
Highlights of the year
“Fortunately, my babies' situation has improved, they are now receiving the care they need and I can see their progress day after day.” Nônô, mother of twins that survived malnutrition, Mali
Despite the challenges, 2024 was a year full of remarkable achievements. We’ve selected a few highlights that are especially close to our hearts!
In Afghanistan, 100,000 pregnant women and newborns were able to access essential healthcare services, a vital step toward safer births and healthier futures.
In Lebanon, 8,000 displaced Gazan girls found support and mentoring in safe spaces designed to help them heal and grow. Our WaSH projects brought clean water, hygiene, and sanitation to more than 505,900 people, helping communities stay healthy and resilient.
In Bangladesh and India, we launched two major climate resilience initiatives, working closely with local communities to adapt to environmental challenges. Meanwhile, over 10,000 people engaged with our online training programmes on children’s rights, building global awareness and capacity.
Across 19 countries, 95,600 children and youth accessed legal assistance and child-friendly justice services. And in several countries, a mobile medical app, co-developed with the World Health Organization , began transforming how childbirth is monitored and managed.
