Welcome back

Welcome back to the Lancaster University Health Innovation Campus newsletter for the 2024/25 academic year.

The Health Partnerships Team has spent the summer working on plans for the next term – and beyond – and have come up with an exciting programme of activities over the coming months.

To kick it off, we recently held an Engagement Day for the Faculty of Health and Medicine, showcasing some of the work we do with our brilliant partners. One of the case studies was a project looking at stroke rehabilitation with 3-1-5 Health Club in Lancaster, whose aim is to make our region the healthiest in the UK. The event was packed with academic colleagues keen to hear more about the different ways to engage with partners.

Our Health@Lancaster project has been identifying areas of academic strength and bringing together researchers from across the University to ensure we are ready to respond to challenges brought to us by our partners. These are in areas such as public health and health inequalities, organisational health and wellbeing and sustainability, environment and health.

We do some of the highest-quality research and evaluation at Lancaster and it is when we collaborate with our partners that we see the valuable real-world impact that work can have. Watch this space for updates.

Below are just some of the other activities we have planned for the coming term - we hope to see you soon.
